Help Harrogate and Support Local

In April Harrogate based technology providers Millennia Cloud launched a free online guide to local businesses offering their services during the Covid-19 lockdown

Support Local web site was created with details of those businesses known to be open during lockdown. Its original aim was to help the isolating public find businesses open and delivering food (both takeaways and groceries) and other home services.

Now we are coming out of lockdown, Millennia has revamped the site as the message has changed – local shops need to be supported or we will be in danger of losing our high street.

Any loss of businesses on the high street could potentially damage us all.

Retail businesses are encouraged to claim their listings via the web site and follow the instructions in the help menu. Businesses need to ensure that details are still correct and where any retail business isn’t listed and is now open then it is welcome to register its business on the web site.

Support Local has had press coverage and is being used today by the public but the greater its visibility, the greater the benefit to Harrogate businesses.

Millennia Cloud asks Harrogate Chamber members to help promote the site in any way they can, such as encouraging their staff, friends and family to use the web site to support local businesses.
